Whew! I'm $700 poorer, but all three girls went in today for their yearly exams. Three complete senior panels, three rabies vaccinations, Cleo had her anal glands expressed, and Lola had a cystocentesis and her nails trimmed (she won't let me touch her nails!)

I have to admit, I've been a bit apprehensive about Maggie's & Cleo's CRF results. I've been worried about how the switch from Purina to Royal Canin would play out over time. I couldn't be more thrilled! Both of their BUN & Creatinine levels are slightly lower than last year, and both Phosphorus levels are significantly lower! Yippee! Fortunately, all three eat the Royal Canin (two different formulations) with gusto! Not only that, but all three cats weights are exactly the same as last year.

Lola's bloodwork is great, but she's got another early UTI brewing. She's on a course of Zeniquin, and we'll recheck her in a couple of weeks.

Dr. Sue said that since all three are doing so well (Cleo & Maggie have been rock stable for a couple of years now) we should be able to get by with mini-panels next year, (if things continue the way they have been.)

It's odd how they all are acting this afternoon. Cleo and Maggie are more affectionate than usual. Maggie is jumping on my lap and rubbing her face all over mine. Lola is hissing at everyone and everything.....she is one ticked-off kitty!!! It's been more than 6 hours. I hope she gets over it soon!

Glad you vet checkups went well. Sounds like the two lovey cats of yours are just sooo happy to be out of the vets and the one is still angry. She'll get over it. Just give her space.

Great news.
Those senior panels are certainly expensive, aren't they. I've been thinking about switching to Royal Canin KD, from Iams KD, since Sven is just about out of this last bag. Sounds like maybe I should, since your results were so good!
