New Growth New Aspiration Test

First a fast growing lump in the area of the lymph node of the left ear now another growth near the right ear. Smaller but obvious. Vet aspirated this the other day the results came back inconclusive as to what is happening. There were three options from the lab. One was an infection which was ruled out because the cat has been on antibiotics and steroids for close to 2 months. The second was a tumor but it is inconclusive as to whether it is benign or malignant. Now I am totally confused because my cat has made a complete recovery from Horner Syndrome and pneumonia in the past 2 months. What would you do if a lab came back with an inconclusive test like that for a lump near the lymph gland?

That's a tough one but I'm thinking the next step would be to remove the mass (if possible) and send the entire thing for pathology. No matter what the next step is for you, I hope you are able to get your answers soon and that it's nothing serious!

The vet doesn't want to do that because he said if there is any malignant tumor involved it will surely spread. So long as he acts normally like he is now and doesn't become lethargic or show other symptoms he doesn't believe it should be removed.
