Back in the winter I was on here eitherr as tytybaby or crazycatlady cant remember thats why I created a new name to get back in.
I am the one who's hubby brought in the trapped frozen kitty and let her out in the house and she is sooooo feral!! But after a while she would come out and wander around. she got along with all my other cats. She was fine and happy but we could/still cant get close to her. Well if you remember I noticed she was pregnant.
Now present day, I still have her and her 4 beautiful fur babbies. They are 7 weeks now.
I know you all are gonna jump on me but I am screwed! I fall in love too easy and these babbies are pushy about making you love on them. They are all so friendly and fun. Each one has something special and I just cant let them go. And I did the number one no no, I named them all!! But heres
the problem: we already have 5 cats tht have been here a long time. So add mamma and the babbies I have 10 cats!!! I dont see the problem, we have 4 litter boxes that are cleaned twice a day, they get wet food for breakfast and dinner and dry food all the time, fresh water. They are cuddled and loved. And I am disabled mostly to my bed and they are such a joy to me. There is ALWAYS something cute and/or funny going on in this house and man it has helped my depression 100%.
The runt, Baby Black Bear is promised. She is ready and I want my hubby to just get it over with, but he is worse than me, he said he cant let go.
Man!! I am so angry with my hubbby cause when he brought that trap in with that scared kitty I told him take it to the SPCA he never listens to me so now we have this problem (well problem for others not us)
Ok, let the lashings begin, I know whats coming LOL
Just call me a sucker! My email has been crazycatlady for over 10 years,,,I didnt realize I wrote my future! LOL I think I need to change my name to Insanecatlady!!

Crazycatlady sounds familiar, so it was surely your nick.

If you really want keep them - fine.

the problem is, having 10 cats, you can hardly help and rescue more.

This is a BIG trap for rescuers.

I suspect not so few hoarders did began as rescuers... Some hoarders perhaps even still fancies themselves as "rescuers".

Said this - this is the common problem for all parents.
Bot human parents and cat "parents". How much you love them - you must let most of them go - this is the way to show and give them real love...

Good luck!

Not to argue your last statement but,,,,,They ARE loved, more loved than anyone could possibly give, its funny in a day I will have loved on each one spread out through the day.
but true of the little black girl who is the loviest of the bunch, this sweet sweet girl that works with my hubby just lost her black cat, it died and she wants her. She is totally ready to leave. But hubby keeps saying no not yet. He is as weak as me!! But yes, I believe blackie should go to this lady.
Thank you for the reply and letting me know I am not the only nut case around LOL!!!

As they are 7 weeks, I think you wrote in the thread start, your hubby is actually entirely right. It IS a little to early.
Let the kittens be with their mom and siblings till they are at least 10 weeks. 12 is even better.

When I was young, the big debate was if they were of age to leave at 6 or 8 weeks.
Nowadays they agree 12 is best, although 10 is acceptable.

Lol I know the feeling. I ended up with quite a few more then I ever thought i would. Husband is now in love with the lil kittens that were born monday. So that brings me to 27 at the moment! Sister is taking a cat back to her house after she moves and one kitten is going to moms. Its an adventure every day isn't it?

Adventure is a great word to use!! I love it cause 24/7 there is something going on somewhere!! I am disabled and alone 90% of the time so they are so thereaputic for me.
And thank you for the 10-12 weeks that makes me feel a little better
