Morning folks!

A rainy day here today, but it ok because we do need it.

Off to work in a bit, and then DH is home tonight again so we are going to make dinner and canoodle some.

He is off for the weekend

AND next weekend!

But the weekend after that is our anniversary so we are going to the cottage just the two of us

Morning,

I took off early yesterday, so I came in a bit early today to make up for it. We have intermittent thunderstorms today, so I'll be lugging my big umbrella around lest I get caught by a heavy rain while walking between buildings. I'll go to the gym after work today, then spend a quiet night at home.

We have a lovely, lovely rainy day yesterday!

Heavens, we really needed that rain. We could almost hear our veggies in the garden sighing in relief.

Lunch party today at work; one of our admin assts from another dept is leaving. She and I have gotten to be so close; we've really turned into good friends and I'm going to miss her. We've promised to keep in touch and, since she only lives about 4 miles away, we can do so. Her new job is not far from mine, so we've already planned on lunch next Wednesday. And there's a shopping trip on our agenda for next Saturday. Anyway, back to lunch....she asked me to bring in my white coconut cake for dessert. And my crock pot beans. Made the cake last night and got the beans together this morning before hopping into the shower. Of course, one of my co-workers just came into work, dropped everything and cut the cake! (I love my co-workers.

)

Sunny and warmish today. It was really foggy, but that's pretty much burned off now.

Morning.. stiffness!! I am very stiff this morning, didn't sleep well last night. Boo. But I'm alive, that's gotta count for something I guess!!

I have to order some textbooks today because I keep putting it off. I might meet BF and coworkers for lunch today, not sure yet. Hopheads tonight, we're meeting at a place downtown, it's called The Wine Bar, but they have 4 taps and 26 bottles too, so we'll get our hop fix in. I'm glad it's close to home this week, so if I want to skip out early I can.

June Gloom is still upon us, it is so humid and cool and cloudy, I don't mind the cloudy part but I'd like it to be a bit hotter!! I am waiting for an 80s weekend to go to the beach! (though i'm sure everyone else is too...)

World Cup starts tomorrow!!! BF and I will be at a party on Saturday for the USA v England game, it will be a fun time, he's from England, we're all from the US, so it should be quite the rivalry going on.
