I brought home a 2 month old kitten last month as a companion for my adult cat and totally expected for the adult one to bully the small one. The total opposite is happening. The kitten is constantly biting and pouncing on our older cat. We've been waiting for the adult one to assert herself. She finally did, biting and hitting him back, but it doesn't faze him at all. She growls and hisses and he doesn't take the hint. It's been like this for a few weeks.
