I build & installed shelves in the outdoor enclosure tonight - Squishy, Fafeena, & the new kitty Captain Nemo were "assisting" me is a cat fashion. Rubbing on my ankles & tripping me every step of the way.

Captain Nemo's been coming around since last fall, and well the nuts had to go if he was gonna keep showing up. I finally caught him & he was neutered last a week ago today. He's out in the enclosure acclimating (and wearing off some testosterone - he was def. a fighting tom!) for awhile & then he'll be released. Hopefully he'll be used to me enough to stick around.
At bare minimum he won't be adding to the overpopulation. He sure looks like he's been an outdoor kitty, but he's fairly friendly (not feral). So who knows where he came from - the people a few miles down the road moved off the farm place (no one lives there now) & I do wonder if he was one of theirs.

Glad you took care of him, Nat. He's a nice looking cat and that he calms down and sticks around. I think he will come to find he's got a good thing at your place!

Wow, that's a really great enclosure!! Nice work!

And cute kitties too, as always. Best of luck with The Captain!

I love the last pic of Squishy, he just looks like "Yeah, I'm chillin.."

My thoughts exactly! He looks like a sweetheart!

My cats are TOTALLY envious of this enclosure by the way.

nice enclosure. I would love to make something like that for my kitties. They would love it. I do have a screen porch that needs new screening and a new door so maybe I'll work on that first. Then they could go out there from the kitchen. The new kitty looks sweet.
