How long did it take your cat to start eating this stuff? It smells awful. It doesn't even smell like meat so I understand her hesitation to eat it but I am out of options with her diarrhea. I need to see if it's grains and this is the least expensive option. She usually takes to a new cat food with gusto but not this one. I'm guessing the pea smell is overriding the meat smell.

Have you tried the Venison and green pea, same brand?

My cats loved the Venison and Green Pea, but unfortunately I couldn't use it as one of them continued to have a reaction to it (rare case)... I would try that...

Another option for elimination diet is the one I am using now Hills Z/D - it is a prescription, and NOT cheap, but smells like chicken, kitties love and it works like a charm.

I hope the Venison and Green pea works for you!

She's eating it now. I think it was that initial pea smell that threw her off. Once she tasted it she went for it and finished a bowl and I had to refill it. She's nursing so she really needs to eat plenty of food.

This is the canned food of choice in my house. Franklin loves it, now that he's eating again. Franny eats it but I think she likes the venison better. It works out because she was chowing the venison and not leaving much for Franklin. She was also getting fat

My cat loves it except he can't eat it because he's CRF. You could try the venison and green pea. T?hey also make the green pea with salmon, and chicken. You could also try adding some pumpkin (not the pie filling) to help with her diarrhea. If you can find the brand Almo Nature, they make chicken with pumpkin formula. My cats love this brand.
