I got the results of Smokie's blood test and they are NORMAL! Vet said everything looks good. A couple of values were just a smidge off but he said that was because he was probably a little dehydrated from the vomiting. He said that something is irritating his intestinal tract and stomach. Hopefully the pro-biotic stuff will work. I am just soooooo happy that everything came back normal! I cried I was so happy.

Now I just have to figure out what's irritating his intestines and stomach.

I can imagine how relieved you must be. I have felt that way too. It feels like you can breathe again.

So glad Smokie is ok!!

Yes I can breathe. I feel like I've been let out of the cage I've been in for the last 5 days. I did promise myself that if his blood work came back good that I'd buy new cat toys for all the kitties to celebrate. So I'll be leaving for work early and going to the pet store!

Smokie LOVES bouncy balls so I'll get him a red or purple one (those seem to be his favorite colors for some reason), A new lazer pointer because the other one is boring (Just a red dot), and some new mice.

And I bet this will be the first night you can eat a good meal and sleep well. Let's hope you can find something that will help his tummy, too.

Great news! I still wonder if it wasn't the antibiotic the whole time that was upsetting his tummy.

Well he had the upset tummy before the antibiotics though. He's been throwing up for a while. Something it irritating his stomach and intestines. The doctor gave him something for anti-nausea that would keep him from throwing up. Before it lasted a couple of days. So tonight or tomorrow morning will be the time when he starts throwing up again. He's been on the pro-biotic since yesterday. He's had three doses so far.

And as my other post on the board today I noticed him drinking more than I had when I brought the bowl up. Before it was 2 trips a day maybe. Between 7am and Noon he was probably there 4 or so times for about 20 seconds or so drinking. I'm wondering if it could be the antibiotics. I'll have to do a check on those.

I just wish that we could get him to stop throwing up. Hopefully the medication the vet gave will help him to stop vomiting. He gave me enough for a week. If that doesn't work we may have to up the dosage. I just want his Stomach to heal. Otherwise he seems the same old smokie. Playing, Harrasing other cats, getting in to trouble etc lol
