Too cool - My video of my cousin's pit stop on Saturday (Indy Driver Vitor Meira)

This Saturday I had a blast!!!

I spent the day at the Texas Speedway watching my cousin Vitor race (Indy)!!! It was awesome!! NOT for the faint of heart - we watched the race from the pit - from the wall of the pit, reeeeeaaaallllyyy close Look at this picture: See the wall on the right? I was seating on this wall - I took this picture from my cell phone

Next one is not until Florida Homestead, I wish I could go before, and I can't wait already!!!

Eeeek! You couldn't get much closer without being run over! I'm sure you had a great time (although you look a little scared in that photo).

I SO envy you! I've been to a few NASCAR races, and the excitement and energy of a real live race is incredible.... I can't even imagine being that close to a pit stop.

BTW...I have a few friends that would be very interested in Victor...heck, if I wasn't married.....

Yeah there is really nothing like watching a race from the pit... It is really something! in 2008 Vitor finished 2nd on Indy 500, and I was there - THAT was excitement W-O-W!!! It was definitely an experience!!

But but but... Vitor is married! Weeeeellll married! He is actually my cousin by marriage, as he is married to my 1st cousin Adriana

OK, as a gearhead myself, I am officially impressed!

Wow, I had no idea you were related to him! My DH and I go to the Indy 500 every year! This year was a WOWZER for sure. I'm not an Indy racing fan really, but I do enjoy the race each year, and just cheer for whomever (although I keep hoping for a woman to win at some point).
