Cat's going to the vet. How do you comfort them?

My cat is very timid, she hides at any strange noise. She hates going to the vet so I hate having to take her...but I know it's for her own good. She always hides if she senses something and she sheds a lot of fur on the visit. One time several years ago a Vet heard something with her heart, but I took her to have scans done (not sure of the right words) and they found nothing.

Is there anything that helps your cats go to the Vet? I put her in the carrier with a couple of towels and cover her head so she can feel like she's hiding...any other ideas? Thanks so much. Tomorrow is the day...

There are products you can try like Rescue Remedy & Feliway to help ease their stress. Some cats are just naturally timid & hate the vet no matter what you do.

I have one domestic kitty (as opposed to former semi-feral or feral) that I've had since 4 - 5 weeks of age. She darn near has to be sedated at the vet because she is so scared she's incredibly aggressive.
