There has been a lot of building and remodeling on the Marine Corps bases over the past year or so, with a lot of them shuffling back and forth between barracks. I drove 3 guys today that had moved a quarter mile down the road a few months ago, and will be moving back next week. One of them mentioned that they would be moving the cats the same way as last time. I had to ask, so they told me all about how the company cared for them, and how the ecosystem on this particular area depended heavily on them to keep the vermin gone, and the buildings bug free. One of them had a short video of how they moved them before. It showed the company of Marines marching in full gear, in formation, to their new residence. The last ones on line were pulling wagons with food and various outdoor kitty gear. Behind the wagons were about 15 cats trotting along behind the wagons almost appearing to be marching in formation as well. Several of them had their own gear, kittens. It was the cutest thing ever. They did not post it on youtube because they were afraid they might get in trouble for filming and publishing activities on the military base, or that someone would not like the idea of having the cats around and have them removed. It is a shame they can't show it.
