I am curious to know how long it takes, in your observation, from the time the kittens "drop" until the queen moves into active labor?

Thanks:-)

I think I had noticed that Carly had dropped really low about a week to week and a half before she started labor.

My goodness, I sure hope it isn't that long
She just dropped this morning on day 63. I was thinking 24-48 hours would be typical. Anyone else observe a different timeframe?

Are you sure on the dates?

Well give her a few more days. Some can go later than others. I can tell you that I knew something was off with Carly the day that she was following me around and crying anytime I moved away from her. She had her kittens later that night.

I wasn't counting on her delivering until Tuesday or Wednesday, I was just thinking that because she dropped Sunday morning might be an indication that she would go sooner. I'm trying to stay home-bound until she delivers, but finding it hard to take care of things outside the home, so I was looking for clues;-) Plus, I'm getting up every 2 hours through the night to check on her, so knowing when I'll get to sleep through the night again would be great! :-D

Thanks anyway:-)

I found a site that had said dropping was around the 1 week out symptom. Sorry can't be more help.

I'll have to search it out in the long thread three of us on here had. If you want I can link you to that thread. There's a lot of good information in it since 3 of us were waiting for kittens and they all came at different times.

Here you go. There's a ton of information and guessing and second guessing in this thread. I warn you it's super long though.

I got my answer! She delivered right on time, day 65, about 65 hours after the kittens dropped! I'm not sure if we're done yet, but I believe we have two boys and a girl so far! I'm so excited!!!
