Attitude once again has to go to the vet. She ended up with another eye infection so the vet gave me ointment. Well it isn't working and her eye looks worse. Her right nostril is snotty, she's blowing 'snot bubbles' at times, really nasty. Her left is totally clear, so that's weird. She's been sneezing too, think it might be allergies since Nuts is fine. She also seems to be missing when she is moving from one place to another, she fell off the couch trying to get on it from the recliner, and of course did the typical kitty 'I meant to do that' look after she got rid of the confused look on her face. She has done it more recently than normal(the typical occasional fall) seems to be happening more since her eye issue. I know she can see and can see fine, she runs through the house like crazy and hasn't run into anything yet and still plays with Nuts(in fact they are playing 'chase' right now) and loves her toys and loves to look out the windows and has decided to dart out the door every time I open it. She stays on the porch and allows me to grab her and take her back in, she even went in on her own the last time she did it, I think she runs out there and doesn't know what to do once she's outside(and she's done it at least 3 or 4 times.)

If I catch Mama she gets to go too since her eyes look a little weird. I already failed to catch her once last week, I got bitten and scratched and she darted when I put her in the carrier(because I'm an idiot.) It would be easier if she didn't mind being picked up. Hopefully she is fine at the vet and becomes loving once I release her from the carrier. I'm going to see if they can get us straight to an exam room because Mama does nothing but hiss and growl in the carrier, she sounds ferocious. They tranquilized her before they released her from it to be spayed, and she was so worked up she ripped the first needle out of her so they had to try again. I was honestly shocked at how she was when I took her in for her prolapse(different vet, I couldn't afford to go to my vet for that, I can afford eye issues.) I warned them she was feral and didn't like being picked up and might be not too nice. She was growling and hissing in the carrier(I covered it with a towel to try and keep her calm, she was still all worked up.) We let her out and she immediately becomes super nice and friendly, she was nicer than Maude when she went to the vet. They loved her at the vet's office, kept saying how sweet and wonderful and loving she was(she had to stay with them for a week) they all wanted to keep her. Hope she repeats that if I can catch her. She took off for several hours after my failed attempt at catching her so if I fail it won't be tomorrow like it's going to be with Attitude, who will be very unhappy in her carrier tomorrow if I catch Mama, she's used to being on a leash to go to the vet but I can't carry her and Mama in a carrier if they both go, not to mention it would also rile up Mama and I really don't need to get ripped open by her claws. She is an outside only cat(she doesn't do inside) so her claws are very very sharp, not to mention even if I tried to clip them(which I obviously wouldn't) I'd lose my hands in the attempt.

I can't 'afford' this, it's going to be expensive. They will bill Attitude for a simple followup but Mama's going to be full price. I also don't know how they are going to treat Mama, I can't do ointment or drops unless I want her to take off my hands, she does not like being handled, not to mention me trying to out something in her eyes. Attitude has finally quit struggling when I do eye ointment, it still takes 2 people, but I guess she's decided it's a normal part of being a cat(which is honestly sad), like getting her nails clipped. Not to mention it happens whether she struggles or not.

Leave it up to me to adopt the 'sickest' cat out of a litter of 9. Nuts has seen the vet once other than normal visits, when he was incessantly meowing, turns out it was just the door being open, and I don't think it helped that Half-tail(who is now spayed) was in heat, so he wasn't even really 'sick', just acting out of character. Attitude is always at the vet due to eye issues, mostly infections(she's on Lysine, for the most part it seems to help.) 'Stupid' cat, costing me tons of money(no, I'm not serious when I say that, every cent I spend on her and Nuts is worth it.) I know I should be happy that she is really healthy if her eye quit acting up she'd be like Nuts, she'd see the vet for shots and her yearly check up. She is only a year old(well her and Nuts turn 1 sometime this month) and I can't count how many times she's gone to the vet for her eye. I don't know if it is herpes related or the leukemia or the two working together(she hasn't had a herpes test but since Lysine helps and seems to for the most part to keep her eye good I'm assuming that's what it is.)

Why can't I have a normal kitten who never has to go to the vet(other than normal visits.) I'm not supposed to shell out big bucks(she is well known at the vet's office)until she's old, or at least older depending on her lifespan and if the leukemia get 'worse.' Like I said before it's worth every penny, but it still has been one heck of a chunk of change already and this is going to be ongoing. I know I am lucky and I am happy for her to be healthy other than this, but she is just such a young cat it's frustrating.

I'm trying to 'ignore' the fact that I am worried about Mama. If she has an eye infection I don't know what I'm going to do since it is going to be almost impossible to treat her.

I'm also worried about Attitude and the fact that she is missing thin gs so much. I do worry about her bad eye and that it mioght be bad oir going bad so she is having issues with depth perception.

I'm really scared that something is really wrong with Attitude and I don't know how to help Mama beyond taking her to the vet and trying to medicate her which I know is going to be beyond impossible.

I just want them to be ok and I'm scared.
