This is Ramses. He was turned in at our shelter when his owner moved in with his fiancee and Ramses and her cat did not get along. We don't know how long Ramses was bullied by the other cat, and the receiver did say the guy was in tears giving him up. However, he is just skin and bones, not eating. Very docile.

Dottie and I took him and another Siamese up to a Siamese rescue north of Dallas. They have already placed over 7,000 Siamese cats over some 10+ years. The woman who runs it thinks she already has a home for Ramses, if she can get him going again. I'm really worried about him, but she said she's done it many times.

Forgot to mention. Ramses is 10 years old and declawed and neutered.

I heard from the rescue this morning. He is, at least, still holding on.

I'd give up the girlfriend before I would give up my cat.

Poor guy, I hope he comes around.

Poor guy! I'm glad he's hanging on and I really hope the rescue lady is able to put some life back into his eyes.

I checked back with the rescue group. Ramses had to be force fed for about four days, but then he started eating on his own. And, he found a cuddle buddy! Vincenzo, who is a seal-point look-alike for Ramses.

Here's Ramses (they're spelling it Ramseys) at the rescue:

Ramseys and Cowboy

Cowboy, just below him, was the other cat we took up.

You can search that site for Vincenzo. He had a reputation of being a bit of a loner, but apparently he and Ramses hit it off.

I read on the site that Vincenzo has been adopted - that it's pending. Maybe the new adopter will take both old boys since they are now pals. Fingers crossed.
