I'm really impressed! I occasionally post from my cell phone (Droid) and that's hard enough with a full keyboard!

I just have the Droid, I think? I'm so out of the loop on phone names. I know Droid just made a new version called the "Incredible". A friend asked me, "Is yours Incredible?" and I responded, "Yeah, I mean it's pretty great!" Whoops.

It's this phone:

I absolutely love it. I'm a Mac person all the way, but I needed a keyboard instead of the iPhone's totally touch interface. (I have an iPod Touch, so I knew I didn't want basically the same thing for a phone.) The Droid is amazing-- so many free applications and ringtones and all my emails and calendars and Google things are organized.
I was a huge skeptic at first, but I'm never going back.

So you're happy with your Droid?? I've been thinking about getting a new phone....am way overdue and I've been looking at Droid. You're OK? How's the battery length? How often do you have to recharge your battery?

I'm very happy with it! I like the combination of touch-screen and keyboard (as I don't always want to use a touch screen, but sometimes it's pretty convenient... and I'd absolutely hate to use a touch-keyboard.)

Oh I definitely have to recharge it every night. It was a bit of a pain at first, but now it's just become a habit-- because I use it more often (for email, internet, calls, texts, etc) the screen being on sucks down the battery.

I love the interface, and I love all of the free apps. I have a free ringtone app so I have all free ringtones of great songs, and I have a couple of games that can get me through bus rides and bored moments. Also I can use Pandora to listen to music, though I don't do this often as I'm scared of running down the battery? (I'm not sure if it would, as I haven't really risked it yet.)

I got mine simply because I found the Blackberry interface a little confusing and less user-friendly-- I'm a Macintosh/Apple person and the Droid reminds me of that more straightforward and simple style.

Probably because it's linux based - albeit a quite tweaked version of the kernel.

This is why I keep extra computers in the house. Too many people replace and throw out their old ones forgetting that they're likely to have their newer computer mess up somehow. It sure beats using clumsy game console browsers.

I was looking at the Blackberry, too, and I don't care for it. I like the appearance of the Droid.....yours in particular. I used to use my phone for music while I walked, but DH gave me an Ipod to use for walking. I've gotten into the habit of taking pictures now with my phone. And some email. And heck, I admit, I've been online several times, too.

The only thing that stops me from the Droid is the battery time. You see, I'm used to charging my phone....maybe once every 10 days or so. I bought the heavy-duty battery because I knew at the time that I'd also be using it for music. And when I talk to two of my GFs in particular, we're on the phone literally for hours. One of my GFs and I like to work on graphics together and she lives out of state, so it can mean some long phone calls.

Thanks for the info! I'm sure I could get used to charging my phone every night. Once I get used to it, it wouldn't be a hassle. Thanks!
