Well got up this morning to find that he had thrown up on the pool table again. The food that was thrown up didn't even look digested. So he had to have thrown up within an hour of me going to bed. Then also behind some cabinets that we have pulled away from the wall, there was brownish liquid that looked like there could be some blood in it again. I've still been giving him the antibiotics prescribed by the doc.

This morning I fed him the 1 cup that was left from the other can and gave him a teaspoon full from a new can. He hate and then like 10 minutes later he's crying at me for more. So I put him in the bathroom have him two more teaspoons from the can. Then he seemed fine for about 10 minutes and then I saw him go down stairs and after a minute come back up and whine at me. I know the I'm starving whine so I followed him down and he stopped by the bathroom door in the basement and cried and cried. So I told him no we'll wait a little while longer so after 30 minutes more of him complaining that he was hungry I have him three teaspoons full on a plate. He ate that up. And since then he's still been crying at me.
Could he be used to the dry food keeping him fuller longer?

Other than those two spots where I think he threw up, he's been acting normal. This morning he went to the bathroom downstairs and then raced through the kitty door and past me into the office. He's been playful and acting normal. If he wasn't throwing up you'd never know he wasn't feeling well.

But I have noticed a pattern. During the day he usually eats and is fine. It's during the night that he throws up and the early morning. During the day when he's usually sleeping he doesn't throw up. So I don't know if that means something or not.

I just got back from the vets. He felt his stomach and didn't feel any obstructions. Everything else fine internally. He did say he had a little fluid and gas in his intestines but that would be cause by the stomach irritation. He gave smokie another antibiotic. He said it was stronger. These are chewable pills so I can mush them up in baby food and give them to him. He also gave smokie a pro-biotic. He said that all the food changes that I have been making could have caused his stomach irritation and the pro-biotic will help with that. He said I should see some change in about three days with the pro-biotic.

I'll know the test results tomorrow. He did say something to make me feel a little better. He said that if it's his liver or kidneys it's very minor because he looks healthy in every other way. So I'm glad to hear that

Now I just have to play the waiting game. I hate it!

Yep took blood from him and he was such a good boy. The vet had trouble finding a vein on him to take blood with.

I know that someone had mentioned Milk Thistle was good for the liver. I've been thinking of getting that anyways because even if it's not his liver from what I've read it doesn't hurt give the liver some help.

Are there any pet vitamins out there. Preferably liquid since he takes syringe feedings MUCH better lol.

I hope he keeps getting better - btw, if it were me, I'd be telling the vet everything little thing I might even think of feeding the cat, and seeing if it's a good idea (sort of like a pharmacist cross checking prescriptions). Even something that normally is either good, or harmless, can have a bad interaction with certain other foods or drugs.

This waiting is killing me. I have not been able to eat much because it all goes through me. I have been praying every day and especially today that everything comes back normal.

Any advise on how to weather the wait?

Waiting is hard. You just have to get through it. Try some mental distraction by reading a book or watching a favorite movie.

Tired watching tv. My heart kept racing. I tried watching a movie. I tried a little walk on my treadmill. Nothing worked. So I then took my lorazapam and then went to bed. I may have to take a half of one this morning to relax. Because I will drive myself crazy.

Well, another distraction could be browsing our forum, reading all the threads and getting to know everyone's cats!

Won't be long now...

Yep I have been doing that as well. I hope I receive the results soon. My cell rang like 30 minutes ago and My heart sank and my knees were weak. But it was my fiance. After that my hands were shaking! Just have to remember to breathe.
