So Nani has been an outside only cat for years. Last week I brought her in the house and confined her to one room. She's familiar with my other indoor cats because she's seen them everyday for years through the siding glass door. I also used to open the door to let them sniff each other. Nani also had contact with three of the cats when they were kittens and outside six years ago.
So today I let Nani out to roam the house because she was getting bored. I was surprised that she tried to lick the other cats. Two of them were not happy and hissed. The bossy female liked the licking. At first she was hesitant but then she seemed to enjoy it. What on earth does that mean? I find this behavior to be unusual, but I'm certainly not complaining.
