Best cat deterrant product?

One of my cats, probably Dusty, has been peeing in the dining room on the carpet. I have some Nature's Miracle as well as Oxiclean, and will thoroughly shampoo the area. I just discovered this yesterday. She has also been peeing on my bathroom throw rugs, which I have laundered. How can I stop this? What can I spray on the area to keep her from continuing this behavior? I am using Litter Attract in her litter box.

I know she hasn't been feeling well. Just came from the vet and her ear infection is not getting better. Her ear canals are totally closed. No wonder she can't hear. Have new meds for the next week, then a recheck.

Awww, poor girl. Ear infections are very serious and could really be throwing her off in so many ways. I would keep her localized in a bedroom, make sure her litter is cleaned daily if not twice, keep any and all clothing, bags, towels, small carpets off the floor, and give her lots of love and of course consistent care for her ear infection. Believe me, she is sooo miserable, ear infections are very debilitating for them....

I have had my share of ear infections too, so I can empathize with her misery. I've got to put drops in her ears and give her pills twice daily. I'm afraid she will hate me once this is over. She's always been so loving and affectionate. I'm afraid I will lose this.

Unfortunately, I can't close off the dining room, and if I lock her in the bedroom, she will yowl all night and no one will get any sleep. Locking her in the garage may be an option, but she loves to snuggle with me, so I'm afraid it will destroy our relationship.
