Last weekend was very long for my boyfriend and I and started last Thursday.
Thursday used to be prep day for us at the bar/restaurant here at the park.
Well, through June it is now $3 pizza night.....bad time to start, park was already full of holiday weekenders by last Wednesday.
After closing we got out of there and went to local dive bar for karaoke.
Friday, we didn't get finished up till 3am, and back at work for breakfast at 7am.
Saturday we left at 2:30 am, back at 7am for breakfast.
After Sunday's breakfast, we were exhausted, we didn't get clean up done until it was time to open at 4pm.
by 6pm I had to send Jake home, he was falling asleep on his feet in the kitchen.
By 9pm the chef called it as we were all dead tired, at 9:30 I went home to bed as I still had to be back for breakfast.
On an up note, I made close to $400 in tips alone for the weekend.
And now the update:
As some may remember, I was dating a 30 year old guy, well, I no longer notice the age diff.
We find we have more and more in common.
I got him a job working at the bar with me and I agreed to let him move in.
The guy is the hardest worker I've ever met and we work well together.
I find myself more and more in love with him every day, I can't keep my eyes off of him
I've noticed that I'm filled with a desire to make him happy, I've never had a desire to make anyone happy.
My closest friends have noticed how markedly happier I've been since Jake and I have been together and they all love him.
We have agreed to discuss marriage at the 6 month mark (September).
I feel like a high school girl.
