Hey everyone,
I'm to this forum and I'm so glad I found it. My name is Kurroi, I'm 18 years old and I moved back to my hometown the Uk from California in January. I pretty much live in a mini zoo (:
3 dogs, 2 kittens, a bunny, guinea pig, birds and fish LOL what can I say I'm an animal lover.
But down to my problem, it's to do with our newest kitten Milo he's a beautiful 7 week old black and white male kitten, I've only had him a few days, I took him from a young couple who's rottweiler was trying to literally eat him.He was this lil ball of fluff and abit on the underweight side, I took him home and gave him a bath(where I also discovered that Milo's actually a boy and not the girl I'd been told he was),he absolutely stunk of ciggarettes! After he was nice and clean I let him down in my living room as our older kitten was nowhere to be seen, the first thing he did was go over to the bowls and wolf down the food, he even was choking a little just because he was eating it so fast, I took away the dried food and left the wet food to avoid him choking. He was completely fine to me, he was happy wrestling around with our dogs and our kitten but today I noticed he's kinda bloated and this worries me because the very first kitten I owned last year started to bloat, she got bigger and bigger and the day I took her to the vet she passed away about 15 minutes before we set off
so whenever my cats bloat I go into panic! I don't know if he's ever been wormed, I've looked in his poop and I don't see anything but I've sent someone to go get me worming stuff. Could he just be putting on weight? Or could something else be wrong? Could he have what my last kitten did? If he gets any bigger I'm gonna take him to the vet as I can't go through the heartache again.
Can someone shed some light on this?

Thanks for reading Kurroi x

It's not impossible that he just ate so much his stomach is very full. Keep an eye on him, watching for further problems. Don't be surprised if he has a problem with diarrhea, if he's not used to eating so much.

It could be that the previous owners were not feeding him enough. Cats can wolf down an amazing amount of food at one time, especially if they are very hungry.

Of course, if you have any doubts, it would be best to get him in to see a vet ASAP, just for your own peace of mind if for no other reason.

He should also be wormed, treated for fleas, vaccinated, etc., and tested for the nasty diseases before he interacts with your current cat.
