Baby Girl had her kittens 4 weeks ago. I desided to introduce them to "kitten glop" but they were not interested at all. Today I tried wet kitten food. I figured that it would be a while before we got anywhere with it. They attacked it like little pros. Lol. They love it. Mama doesn't seem too happy with them eating regular food.

I have also set up a small litter box in their area. They have checked it out but that's it so far (they did try to eat it). How do I know when they can potty on their own?

Not sure on this one. Won't mom show them what to do?

I would think that they would learn from watching her. But they have a little litter pan, mama's is the normal ones we use. I have not found any mess in their area or seen them potty. Mama still stimulates them.

When I had mom with 5 kittens shed plop a few in the pan and lick them. Usually shed get to the 3rd and then stop. Always different kittens and they got it in a few days. far as the eating they munched on her dry(was royal canin kitten) and I added baby cat bowl when they started experimenting with dry food. By time they were 6 weeks all were eating dry and wet and using litter(and stil getting milk for many more weeks)
