Coco came home briefly last night after spending the previous night at the vet. She continued to vomit on Reglan, so we took her back to the vet last night. She vomited one time over night after the vet injected her with another anti-nausea med.

This morning, the vet did a serious of abdominal xrays. She said her liver is abnormally small, her small intestines are full of gas, and her organs are all pushed to one side, but no obvious mass is seen on the xray. They are doing a full ultrasound now to see if they can find anything.

Things aren't looking good for Coco. She hasn't had food since Sunday (other than a small amount force fed to her by the vet yesterday), and I'm just not getting a good feeling.

I'm terrified and I don't want my kitty to die, but I'm afraid that's what's happening.

Aww, I'm sorry to see this. don't give up hope yet. It may just be all the gas in there causing trouble. As for not eating, sure they are hooking her up to the IV at the vet to keep her hydrated.

I'm thinking of you and Coco

I am so sorry to hear that Coco isn't feeling well. Don't give up hope. I'm sending vibes and hope that Coco feels better soon and is sitting back in your lap purring soon.

Newest update from the vet: They found an abdominal mass on ultrasound. The vet said it could be anything from just a fatty benign tumor to cancer, but they won't know until they open her up. She's on an fluid and electrolyte drip for the day, with surgery scheduled for first them in the morning.

The senior vet is out today and wants to be involved in her surgery, since he has been treating her as well. That's coupled with the chance to pump her full of more fluids and electrolytes made them decide to wait until first thing tomorrow for surgery.

Oh no. Well she is in the right place, though I'm sure you are out of your mind with worry. Many thoughts, vibes and prayers going out to Coco and you from me and mine.

here's hoping it's just a fatty benign tumor!

Keep us posted. I'm sure many of us will be checking here tomorrow to see how Coco is doing!
