Cat on a hot tin roof (so to speak)

Here's one for you.

A few days after his 1st birthday,Sonny Boy learned how to climb from our deck (the 3rd/top floor in a condo in a tall Victorian house)
onto the roof!

It might not be so bad were it not for the fact that he does not have vision in one of his eyes (from birth).

So far, attempts to block the area where he makes his climb have failed,so I was wondering of there was a commercially sold scent of some kind that repulses cats.

All recommendations and suggestions welcome.

Thanks,cat lovers!

I would just keep him off the deck. My kitty is not allowed out on the deck.

When he sees birds perching on the railing he makes a mad dash toward the door. If I allowed him out I am afraid that he be so intent on chasing his prey he would accidentally fall off.

Or enclose the deck so that it's cat proof. There are kits made for this sort of thing, or if you're really creative, you could figure something out.

Agree. There is always something that can be done. Put a cone around the tree...keep him inside. Build an enclosure.

Where there is a will, there is a way.
