Well my orphan kitty Sugar is 5 weeks old and now going to the litterbox full time but the problem I'm having now is that occasionally there is a little watery poop coming from her butt before or after she uses the litterbox. Her stool has varied since she started using the box & eating mushy canned foot from liquidy to normal and one time it was a little more solid than normal. It does seem like everytime I take her out of the box to play around feeding time she has a little watery poop starting to come out of her butt and her butt is still sensitive/irritated from all the constipation and laxative we had to deal with. Is this something I should be worried about? The vet said she could come back and get her shots at about 6 weeks [which is this Saturday] so does this sound like something that can wait until that vet trip or should I try to take her in before?

If you're sure she's not dehydrated, I think it can wait.

In the meantime, did you look into probiotics? We just started using Fortiflora (we bought it on amazon) for our stray kitty that appears to have no parasites but just keeps having watery, gassy poops. We tried kitty immodium (don't remember the actual name of the prescription) and an antibiotic that specifically treats digestive problems - and doesn't kill the good bacteria in the gut - (can get you both names if you want to be prepped for vet appt, though I have no idea if either is appropriate for kittens) but that route just slowed his system down, and all it did was change his diarrhea from water and frequent, to loose, soft stools, gas, and once a day.

I don't know why her body isn't regulating the water in her system correctly. But I would definitely call the vet's office to discuss this and what to do - because I'm not sure they'll give her the vaccinations if she still has problems with watery poop.

I called the vet and they didn't act like she needed to be seen. They told me something else to put on her butt to help with the irritation and they said to just go ahead and bring her in for her vaccinations etc on Thursday but if it gets worse I might call and take her in before then if I can.

She is acting completely fine and is very active and eating mushy food with a bit of water on it, plus drinking formula out of a dish every now and then and she's taken a few sips of water out of a dish but not a lot + I droppered her some in her mouth just to be sure but she doesn't seem dehydrated at all.

She does poop runny poop a few times a day [not large amounts tho] and sometimes she doesn't make all of it in the litterbox [not often though - it's usually all in the litterbox, but I have to make sure to get it cleaned out before she has the chance to walk in it/play in it].

People recommended getting Bene-bac so I did and gave her some of it but I don't know how often to give it because the directions on it are complicated to me. Also the vet tech said that canned mushy food could give her runny poop but she doesn't want to eat dry or mushy kitten chow so I don't know what else to give her.
