Good morning all and happy June!

It's going to be another warm one today, but not super hot like it has been. So it will be nice, I am planning to go for a rollerblade after work.

Off to work in a bit..all spiffed up with my pedicure and manicure that I had done with my girlfriends yesterday

It's a gorgoeus sunny day here, and were on holiday in the UK today

I've been in the conservatory most of the day because i'm watching the birds in the new bird bath that i bought them last week

Looks like rain is coming in but do we ever need it. I'm off to Collingwood to stay with my sister for 4 days. I can hardly wait. Hope everyone has a good week.

Morning,

Today is the Memorial Day holiday, so I have the day off work. I spent the day yesterday at a cabin up in the mountains with some friends having a cookout. Today, I'll probably just hang around the apartment and read or surf the net. I sent one of my friends a message asking if he wants to do dinner tonight, but I haven't heard back from him. If he doesn't want to go, I'll just watch a little TV or read a book tonight and then try to get in bed at a decent hour.

It's a pretty nice day here, just under 70 outside. A little smoky though; wildfires up in Canada and the wind is sweeping the smoke down through here.

I'm off from work today for memorial day too- but I already did all the celebrating yesterday and today I'm just trying to get over a really mind hangover after the cookout we had yesterday, and doing the weekly cleaning. After that I will be studying for the LSAT and going shopping.

BF is home today because of Memorial Day. We didn't have any big parties or BBQs or anything, went to the Angels-Marlins baseball game on Saturday, and looked at some houses yesterday. Today I think we might go for a bike ride and then get together with some friends we haven't seen in a while.

I'm off work as it's a holiday here in the UK. I've had quite a lazy day, went for a walk this morning & picked up some shopping & spent the rest of the day at home with the cats. Newt loves it when I don't go to work as she gets lots of cuddles and playtime! I also defrosted the freezer (been meaning to do that for ages), Ripley helped by dragging away all the towels I'd put on the floor to soak up the water!!

Good evening. We had a mostly quiet day. DS knocked my glasses off on Saturday and the stem broke off at the hinge. I am blind as a bat without them. We ran out that night to get a new pair. I let the ladies talk me into a style I haven't worn since the 80's. Did you know big and plastic frames are back in? I didn't go big but I went plastic. Anyway the lenses don't sit nicely and I can't see. DH gorilla glued my stem to the old pair to get us through today. I prefer the 1hr companies but they had nothing I liked at another location. We went with another company and they should be in within the week. I am just hoping my old pair stay together in time.

DH did bbq yesterday. We had his mother, brother & his g/f over. We had smoked ham, corn casserole & asparagus. Mom made cabbage and beans (ew). It was a lovely time. DS is just old enough to go outside with us. A few more months and he will be running around having fun instead of clinging to our legs. lol
