Well i had my little gypsy at the vet nearly 2 weeks ago (18th May) and he told me that she was about 6 weeks so that would put her at 8 weeks this tuesday, the thing is she is starting to act a bit weird..i brought her nesting box downstairs last night as she was following me around everywhere (she hasnt been in it since i got it for her) she was in it for about 6 hours, she got out it and had a nibble to eat then went straight back to it...she would sleep for about an hour then get it and go round in circles trying to get comfy then she would fall asleep again and this went on for a couple of hours, while she was laying in it i noticed that she was purring really hard and loud then she would quieting down and also breathing pretty eratic then it would go back to normal then it would happen again (for a couple of hours aswell)
there was a wet patch on the kitchen tiles last night but her back end wasnt wet, i tried to have a look at her "lady bits" and there was what looked like a bit of dried blood on the fur right next to her "bits" she was cleaning her bits pretty rapid aswell so if there was any other bits of discharge i wouldnt have noticed..i did notice that her nipples are showing alot more now if she lies on her side and she doesnt seem too bothered about not going out in the back garden.. I am not to sure about one thing last night when she was walking around her tail was straight up but the top of it kept flickering (kind of like a snake) Also when i woke up her litter tray was full of what i think was loads of urine but im not too sure
are these signs that she could be quite close to giving birth?? sorry for the long post, hope someones cat has acted like this then gave birth soon afterwards,
her belly seems to be hinging down more but the vet did say 3 kittens but proberly 4 or 5..when i pet her i can feel the outline of the kittens pressing right against her and they are pretty close to her "lady bits" i noticed when she was laying on her back letting me pet her..
