An Aww Moment - the first

Our cats, Muffin and Mattie have been doing a re-adjustment thing since our alpha cat, Speedboat died in January. Mattie was the third wheel. Now they have had to work out who is in charge. Muffin has pretty much let her know who is the oldest and the boss. I purposely put them in the garage several nights to make them spend time together. This week, there was Muffin with his arm around Mattie and he was washing her head. It was just so special. You never can have a camera handy when you need it. Mattie was rubbing all up against him, so he just collared her and washed her head for her. Times like that make it easy to see why I am so nuts about cats. You can just never figure out what they might do next.

AWWW! That's awesome! I was so glad when we got Zoey that Rosalie took to her so quickly. She showed her the ropes (about the dogs, kids, best sleeping spots, ect) and would even let Zoey (who's about 6 weeks younger) nurse off of her and other times she'd sit there holding onto her head and cleaning the hell out of her, lol.
