Hi, all! I'm new here and I have an eye color question. A ferel pregnant cat showed up on our doorstep about two months ago and shortly after had a litter of 5 kittens. We are keeping her and one of her kittens and have already placed the other four. They are now 10 weeks old. The kitten we chose to keep is a long-haired red and cream tabby. All the kittens eye colors began changing at 6 weeks, including this one's color. The difference is, this kitten's eyes became a clearer blue (sort of like a Siamese) while the other kitten's eyes became the traditional green and brown. Can eye color change several times? The reason we chose this kitten is because it is a very affectionate lap kitten and would rather be sitting in our laps than playing with its litter mates. It made an impression on us even before his striking eyes started developing. (P.S. I think it's a male, but not sure yet. I forgot to ask our vet when I took the momma and litter for shots.)

I found the text in this book spot on, but the illustrations aren't helpful at all. Good over all book

This mat caught my eye because of its size and texture, which traps fine litter rather well. It's large enough for jumbo litterboxes, which is also a plus. It's not quite as easy to clean as a...

This scoop was a freebie with some clumping litter I bought last year, and I like it so much that I've bought a second one. It's perfect for fine clumping litter, which it sifts very thoroughly....

If you could post pictures of the kittens eyes people could make some pretty good predictions as to what the final color may be and if you share a picture of the other end we could tell you if you have a boy or a girl. Or you could simply look up "sexing kittens" for pictures and explanation.
And yes, their eyes can change subtly as they mature.. I have one who didn't settle into his adult eye color till around two years old - before then he showed more gold eyes, later they became more of that common gold green.
I have seen a green-blue type color (sort of seafoam?) on some orange cats. If yours settles into this eventually it would be a very pretty color.

If the eye color is a true blue and not a pale blue-green, then you have a pointed cat - red point (body coat white or pale cream).
A picture would help to be sure.

Does he looks something like this fruitcake? If so, he's a flame-pointed cat. The eyes will always be blue.
