A few days ago he got his tail stuck in our folding card table somehow. He has been drooping his tail since then. He doesn't seem to hurt when I touch his tail. However, when I raised the part by his butt too high he cried.

He can move it, as I've seen him twitch it while playing and such. He tries to lift it when he greets me but he doesn't get it up very high. Other then that though he hasn't really moved it much. He is using the litter-box normally. He seems to be his usual self except for the droopy tail.

He also seems to be a bit wobbly on his hind legs, but that may just be me freaking out, he is still growing and is lanky atm so it might just be that. He's 3 and a half months old. Since he can feel and move his tail, does that mean it's at least not broken? What may be wrong with him?

I've felt his tail and there are no kinks and nothing seems out of place.

It may be just bruised or he may have some nerve damage. The best thing would be to take him to the vet to be checked out.

I agree with everyone else that he needs to get checked out. I have seen cats be pretty stoic and it could be broken. He needs to have it examined and a possible X-Ray. I hope it isn't broken but better to be safe.

Good luck! I hope it gets better.

In my experience, depending on the severity of the break(if it is broken) depends on the treatment. Amputation may be necessary, surgery to repair the fracture if possible, it may heal on its own and regain normal function depending on any nerve damage. The closer the fracture the is to the base of the tail the more complications may arise. That is why if there is ever a question as to if it is broken it is better to have it checked than to let it go.
