Expecting kittens soon.

I'm sad to post that miss Rosalie, will soon be expecting a litter of kittens (her first and LAST). Around the time of the accident I had made the appt to get both girls spayed when we got back from SA. Well after the accident everything basically went to heck and I was way too out of it and totally forgot about their aoot. My husband was home helping and I TOLD HIM not to let the cats out because while she didn't seem to be in full heat, I was sure she was showing signs of starting. Sometime between the accident and my surgery (around the last week of March, don't exactly remember when) he did exactly what I told him NOT to do and when he let the dogs out, he let the cats out too. Rosie was gone for about an hour and up until a week ago, I totally forgot and didn't think anything of it, till I rubbed her belly and sure enough, 4 of her nips have popped up. I've been going through the debate of doing a spay/abort and as much I know I SHOULD, I can't bring myself to do it I called today to make the appt for Zoey to be spayed (she goes in on Tuesday) and I'll be having Rosie, and the kittens, spayed as soon as they're able to. I feel like such a horrible kitty mom and like I let my girl down, but all I can do now is push on and make sure everything's taken care of ASAP. Just wanted to fill everyone in cause I'm sure I'm going to have plenty of questions come time.

I know she should be due anytime within the next week or two. She's been rather affectionate, which isn't too far off from how she normally is, but further than normal, she doesn't like to be outside as much and she spends most of the day sleeping or eating. I tried to feel for kittens and could only feel one, and that was only one time (about 2 days ago) I haven't felt anything since (she feels more bloated than anything). I'll try and get up some more pics of her tomorrow.

Well, you tried your best, and mistakes happen sometimes.
It sounds like you may have a few more weeks left until they're born, but who knows...if you want a better guess, a vet can tell you that. Do you have any pics of her?

I put a couple of pics of her (and Zoey) up in the photo sec but it's hard to get a pic of her belly since she's so furry. 2 more nips of hers, though, have popped up now and now I feel better movement of the kitten(s). She's been more and more affectionate as the days pass (she follows me all over the house which is VERY unlike her) even to the bathroom (she'll jump in the tub and lay there till I'm done, OYE!). I'll try and get some better pics of her, though.

It's usually 2 weeks from the time when you first feel mouvment, so that should give you a rough estamite. Also, keep checking her nipples for milk- not all cats get it before birth, but it is a good sign that she should have them soon if she does.

Thanks. I've done this with dogs before (fosters) but never with cats, all of mine have always been fixed on time Just between the first time I felt movement to yesterday it/they already feel a ton bigger. I can feel 2, MAYBE 3 in there.

Hopefully she'll have a small litter, like 2 kits

Thanks! I'm really hoping that's the case. I'm able to feel them more and more as the days go on but still can only feel 2, MAYBE 3 (not too sure) I guess we'll see in a week or so. Here's a couple of pics. 1 of her highness herself, looking pleasently plump, lol, and another of her nipple (the only one visible through all her fur, lol), which is also popping out rather quickly.

IDK, she's MASSIVE compared to how big she used to be. She was rather slim and she's at least doubled her mid section

It could just be the angle of the pictures too. Towards the end they look like they've swallowed a basketball!
Here's a picture of my latest foster about a week before she had her kittens- she had 4.

Baby Girl didn't look like she swallowed a basketball. Lol. she was very slim before she got pregnant and never got much bigger then Rosalie is now. Baby Girl had 3 kittens. I think it just depends on the mama's size, the size of her kittens, and how many kittens. Zoe's were huge compared to Baby Girl's. Lol

Thanks guys. I know we're getting close, her milk is starting to come in (she's not leaking yet but she's getting ful of milk) the baby's are more active/bigger and her belly's going more down than out (if that makes any sense). I'll try and snag another pic of her but, like I said, without actually seeing her in person it's hard to tell just because of all the fur.

Ok, here's a couple more pics.

The first 2 are from today, the other pic is from Jan. She's easily at least twice the size she was before. I started feeling the kittens movements over a week ago (sometime around the 25th) so I'm guessing it should be any day now!
