Proposed ban on feeding feral cats

A meeting will be taking place on June 1st regarding this issue.

ACA released a press release today regarding it:

So we are very fortunate to have their support with this issue.

I agree that the ban won't work. I do wish, however, that when people start feeding cats they'd be responsible for spaying/neutering them. So often I see people feed a cat then end up with a whole colony and suddenly abandon them all. Better education is needed.

People who feed without the rest of the caretaking is part of the reason caretakers get a bad name, but there are always these ideas in front of councils - if passed they are never enforced and they rarely pass because the politicians are too worried about being reelected to upset all the cat people
