Maggie has a broken bone

My little princess some how managed to break a bone in her foot. It is one of the long bones. When I look at the x-ray I think it looks really bad, but the vet seemed to think it wasn't too bad. So she is on pain meds & her littel foot & leg are all wrapped up. Apparently this will be a 4 - 8 week process. I feel terrible for her because she is on room rest & has to hang out by herself all day. I also feel bad that I left her in pain all day yesterday. In the morning she was limping on it, but I thought oh it's probably nothing. Then when I got home she was hiding, purring & shaking. That's when I knew she had to go to the V-E-T. Please send good healing vibes for my girl, she needs them.

Well she had to have her bandage changed yesterday. She did not like being in the cage so she knocked the water all over & got it all wet. She seems to be getting around preety well all things considered. I'm just hoping it heals quickly.

I'm glad to hear Maggie is showing some spirit, she must be feeling better!

Lots of vibes to your girl to heal without any more adventure.

My sons cat, Sneaker, had a broken bone in his foot too. Don't know how it happened. My son seems to think me playing with the laser with him did it. Sure, blame the mom!!

He had a cast on for about 6-8 weeks. He was not confined, but managed to get around ok. I think it fell off early like about 6 weeks. But he was fine and is back to the laser!

I hope Maggie tolerates it well and is back to normal soon.

Fingers crossed Tonight is Maggie's x-ray. Hard to believe it's been 4 weeks already. So if it looks good, no more "leg warmer". I am hoping she is all done with having to have that thing on her foot.
