A Little Jack and Sophie-Ann for you...

I've been busy lately, but I always find time for pictures!

First, we have Sophie bird-watching with her "other" best buddy...Nika the malamute/collie. They moved before I could get a side shot showing their faces well - but the size difference (I think Soph is maybe the size of ONE of Nika's legs!) cracks me up.


Sophie and Jack lounging - that little Sophie-Ann looks more like a teddy bear than a cat sometimes.


NO, mama, you cannot make the bed...


...we like it MUCH better when it's unmade!


Sophie quickly puts on her Irritated Face. "No, I was NOT grooming him - I don't know what on earth you're talking about! He has cooties, you know."


You are disturbing our important resting time WHY, exactly?


And finally...I call this Synchronized Napping. They will lie in opposite directions in the middle of the floor, "holding hands" (one paw touching).

What a beautiful relationship they have, Sophie and Jack! I love all the pictures, that one of Sophie and the dog is absolutely priceless and deserves a frame and a wall.

The one of the two of them lying in the same position, and the one of them holding hands both actually brought tears to my eyes they are so sweet, and Jack looks SOOO HAPPY!

Great pictures! You made my morning! They are both beautiful cats. I'd love to see a good picture of Nika sometime, if you can get it. Malemutes are beautiful dogs....I can only imagine the face of a malemute-collie mix.

Thanks all They have been such a constant light in my life - and otto, I tear up watching them on a regular basis! The first time I saw Sophie lie down with Jack and reach out to "hold his hand" (believe it or not, they've done that several times!), it was waterworks!

They really are great buddies at this point - they bicker, of course, but for every scuffle, there are at least 3 "awwwwww" moments in a single day.

Oh, and here you go, Winchester - here's Nika, our gentle giant! Just took these a few nights ago.

Aww, what sweeties!! I, too, can't get over that pic of them napping on the floor touching each others paws.. So sweet.

All your furbabies are gorgeous. It's great how Sophie-Ann has accepted Jack. I have a special soft spot in my heart for Sophie-Ann. Is she as soft as she looks?

Thank you, and she IS unbelievably soft! I had no idea a short-haired cat could have such soft, thick fur. She has a bit of a white fuzzy undercoat that gives her some extra fluff...also means she sheds more, but that's a price I'm willing to pay! She honestly just doesn't look real sometimes - she is just all roundness and curves and enormous eyes, and has the tiniest little button nose. We always say that Jack is a stunning specimen of cat, and Sophie is a stunning specimen of plush teddy bear!
