Morning folks!

So, I am back to work today after the wonderfully beautiful, amazing loooooong weekend we had. It was the greatest weekend! We are very blessed

Off to the shower in a few minutes, then to work. Tonight I have to go to the gym or something else active, I have been slacking and am getting quite flabby

Another hot humid sweaty day here. It was 90F yesterday and normal temps are 71F.
Supposed to be 87F today then a gradual cool down. One of my customers called and wanted me to do yard work today! I asked him if he was aware of the weather conditions-YIKES!!

Anyhow work from 9-3 today then try to do some outdoor container planting (in the shade) later if its not extremely bad outdoors.

Bender is been a big PITA the past several days. I think he is part Maine Coon and part Siamese-man that cat has a big mouth.

Good morning!

I get to wear jeans to work today because I'm going out with an engineer to inspect four stormwater detention facilities. They're up in the mountains where the homes will eventually be built. Jeans! Life is good!

Hazy, hot, and humid today.....our weather will pretty much continue throughout the rest of this week and part of next week as well. Local weatherweenies are calling for a nice Memorial Day. Good day for BBQ.

Good morning everybody!

I finally have internet back!! After a week and a half of trying to figure out what was wrong, it was actually a pretty easy fix. And now our connection is faster than it has been in months, so WOHOO!!!

Off to work this afternoon. Hopefully it will be busy. I then have to go exchange some stuff at Old Navy. I found these wonderful cotton camisoles with lace around the neckline that are INCREDIBLY comfortable and on sale for 5$. Wohoo! So off to get a couple more colors....

Then home to try my hand at spaghetti and meatballs. Always made meatsauce, not meatballs, so hopefully it goes well!

I am sitting here and am quite warm, will wait a bit longer but if it doesn't cool off in here I will turn on the a/c. I will not be uncomfortable if I don't have too.

I am anxiously awaiting the cable guy to come and connect me to all the goodies I ordered including faster internet. He will be here between 2 an 4. I could have had an earlier appt. but I am a late riser so this is a good time for me.

Russ and I will NOT be going to his shore home this weekend since it's a holiday. The traffic will be crazy and there will be a mob of people down the shore so I rather stay here. Russ is having a huge cookout at his home with all our friends and some family,I'm looking forward to that. So far the weather looks promising for the weekend but tomorrow will be horrible since it may hit 90 degrees and I could live without the hot weather.

Morning. Happy Tuesday. We're going to start again at looking at some more houses this afternoon.... sigh. What a process. But we have to keep moving. Anyway, since we are basically back to square one, BF said last night that we should look at cats this weekend! Before we were going to just wait til we moved, because things were going really smoothly and quickly. And then it all came to a halt last week. So, he actually wants to get a cat friend for Genever!

I will probably be posting some questions on here about how to deal with different issues, and I plan on emailing the vet too for some advice. It'll be fun though, I hope. The SPCA is closed Mon-Tue, so I'll probably go on my own and check out who's there tomorrow, but I'm going to look on their website today. Exciting!

Other than that, we're going to go to the LB Dirtbags baseball game vs. Pepperdine this evening. It'll probably be the last game we get to this season, they play at home this weekend but we've got other plans.

I cant believe half the day has passed already! (its 12:50pm as I type).
Back to lab after a cruddy rainy long weekend, and have been fairly unproductive so far :/ That said, Im spending the afternoon showing my summer student how to use the fluorescence microscope, so the time should pass quickly to the end of the day (which will be between 4 & 430 today woohoo!!!)
Not sure what to do about dinner yet...

I woke up with clouds and mid day it was sunny and warm.
After cleaning DS woke up. My plan was to shower then do lunch. I walked in his room and smelled throw up. Poor little guy. It was all down his bed frame. To the pack n play he went while I stripped his mattress and cleaned his bedframe. Next came the laundry, shower & lunch. We walked to the grocery store for some deals. He did so good waiting to check out. Actually he was checking out the blonde in front of us. He loves blondes.

After we got home it was nap time. He sure didn't like that idea. He didn't like anything for over a hour. His bottom stomach teeth are coming in. I sure hope they break through tomorrow as his grandpa is coming to visit Thursday.

It's a quiet night with nothing on tv. See ya tomorrow.
