"Sweet feline, Juniper, was found wandering West 196, skinny and confused. With no claws on her front or hind feet, she couldn't climb a tree for safety or hunt effectively. Instead, she was left unarmed to face her environment, totally unskilled at a life outdoors. Hungry and alone with no collar or identification, this darling girl was likely abandoned as so many other cats are.

Now living in a steel cage at animal control, Juniper is one of the calmer residents. When taken from her barred abode, she does not try to run or wiggle away. She is grateful to be held and have her medium length coat gently stroked. When a volunteer looked her over, this delicate cat made no objection to having her teeth checked and paws massaged. She gave absolutely no resistance to being picked up and having her belly investigated for a possible spay scar (one was not visible).

Juniper is the sweet and shy type who blossoms after a bit of loving attention. She melts when human arms hold her. She looks out of place in a cage. After a good bathing, brushing and some healthy food to put some weight on her, Juniper could easily be the picture-perfect household princess.

She is an adult cat with slightly shorter ears and has been at Liberty County Animal Control since May 10th. She is starting to get the ..."

I would gladly take her, but I am wondering what type of transport could be arranged? I am in PA (Philly suburbs). I could sponsor if that would buy her some time to arrange something......

I am so glad this little one is being taken care of. Whoever takes this cat might get the vet to shave her belly. I didn't know my Mattie had been spayed until the vet shaved her and there was the scar.

I am not sure either about transport but if you are serious about this contact Newbeginnings Rescue to see what is possible and if she is still there.

Thanks for caring. There are so many Junipers out there.

Is there any news on this? Did you call to find out Philly? What did they say.

I did send an email to the rescue, but have heard nothing yet.
