Hey everyone

Today's question just a quick easy one

What was the last film you watched and did you enjoy it?

Last one I watched was Shutter Island I thought it was quite good I enjoyed the twist at the end, because I wasn't expecting it

I don't go out to movies as they are too expensive, but the last DVD I watched was just yesterday. I watched "Left Behind II, The Tribulation Force" It is the 2nd in the series of 3 movies and I liked it alot. I have watched it several times.

The last time we watched any movies was right around the beginning of 2010. We watch them at home, either through On Demand or we'll hit a video store. I don't remember what they were....guess that's how much of an impression they made on me.

If we are talking about movies watched in a theatre, the last was Valhalla Rising. It was propably the most boring movie I've ever seen!
Absolutely nothing interesting happened in the movie and it felt like it's never going to end.. Few people left the theatre in the middle of the movie saying " #%¤%# this is so boring I can't take it anymore! I'm leaving NOW.."
If something good has to be said about it, it had nice music and landscapes...Recommended if you would like to relax and fall asleep.

My advice: do not watch it.

Just the other night I watched a couple of sci-fi films. Pandorum & Moon.

Pandorum was an ok film, a little too cliched.. Not very original. A few interesting twists though.

Moon was interesting although it was a tad boring. had a definite 2001/Solaris feel too it. And the twist came way too early in the film. But as an independent film, it was easily better than most Hollywood sci-fi.

The last movie we saw in a theater was "Robin Hood". Very entertaining, but Russell Crowe needs to stop mumbling so much!

The last movie we watched was "Sling Blade"; DH had a hankering for it last night. I hadn't seen it in years and had forgotten was a good film it is. Billy Bob Thornton should have won an acting Oscar for that one.

I watched Avatar this weekend and was very disappointed. The first 90 minutes were very boring and I wondered what all the hype has been about. The movie got better the last hour but I wouldn't recommend it. Again, what was all the hype about anyway, just can't figure that out

I guess that would be Alice in Wonderland -- I don't think we've watched anything at home since that. Yes, we did enjoy it.

I thought I was the only one! I didn't care for it much, either.

The same with 'Alice in Wonderland'. DH and I are both huge fans of Johnny Depp and Tim Burton, but we were disappointed in this one.

Planet of the Apes (original) It was pretty good but long, as usual when I watch a movie, it took me three days to finish it.

The last one we went to was 2012 - AWESOME special effects but the ending sucked as its not really how it ends

Thanks for the info about Alice - we too love Johnny's movies - will probably just wait and rent the video. But we DO plan on seeing the next Pirates movie he's making and the Dark Shadows one in the theatre.

It was "Bicentennial Man" with Robin Williams as the android who wants to become human. I liked the move.

I also liked the idea of having an android to wait on me. That would be nice.

Am I the only person who thinks Johnny Depp should do a biographical film about Edgar Allan Poe? I think he would be phenomenal!

Last one in theaters was Alice in Wonderland - it was ok. I know I've watched some at home since then... but the only one that I'm really remembering is The Lion in Winter - there might have been another movie with Hepburn since then but I can't remember.
