Poor Jazzy!

Thread Starter
Hi everyone, My name is James. I am the brother of Jackz (JazzyTheCat) and I also own Jazzy and Ginga.

Anyway, on to the post. Poor old Jazzy seems to want to be friends with Ginga. She shares her food, they touch noses and Jazzy also gives her full-body sniffs.

But...

Now, whenever Jazzy approaches Ginga, Ginga swipes at her (with her claws sheathed of course) and poor old Jazzy slinks off, upset!

Is there any way to change this?

Update: While Jazzy was eating this morning, Ginga went up to her and sniffed her tail and her butt. Jazzy didn't seem to mind. Is this a good thing?

That's a very good thing - just keep being patient, let them work it out, and make sure when they're 'nice' to each other, you have treats and lots of love for each of them. I'd suggest always giving the resident cat the treats and love first, even if by a second - to reassure the first cat that she's still #1.

Try feeding them when they're in close to each other - so they get the idea that nice things happen when they're together.
