It was a lot more than I had expected (the birth part) and the kittens are all different, it's interesting. We had 6 as of right now but I thought I might have felt another lump, not sure. The second to last kitten is a monster. It's a solid black kitten and was the largest kitten. It's very strong. It crawls all over Carly and pushes other kittens out of the way. It has long hair and a good size head. That was the only kitten that hurt her coming out. It was breech and the head made her cry out.

I can't really say the colors yet because I'm not as familiar with cat colors as some people but what I see so far are definitely solid black, classic tabby in cream (this one has the swirls on the sides), 2 probably pointed like mom because they are solid white, a spotted tabby maybe red but not sure, and then this grey color but it has white tips and I saw some brown color thrown in there. I don't know what that color is called.

CONGRATS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
With a larger liter you might want to look into supplemental feeding with a bottle. If all are gaining you are good. My cat had 5 in 05 and by time they got to be 3-4 weeks she was losing to much so you might be fine

I want to take pictures of them now that they are dry. They are doing fantastic. I need to weigh them but I didn't think to get a scale yet so they could have lost weight and I wouldn't know. I will start with today and weigh twice to see how they are doing.

This is definitely Carly's first litter by her reactions to things. First off she wouldn't let me leave her at all. She freaked out when I had to get up to just wash my hands when she was in labor. She'd look into my eyes when she was pushing and want me to pet her. She never got aggressive or anything, just wanted me there the entire time. First kitten came out and she had NO clue what to do. It's a good thing I read a lot before she had them and I knew to take the sac off the kitten and rub the mouth to stimulate it to breathe because she didn't! She didn't know what the heck had just come out of her. It wasn't until the second to last kitten that she finally realized what to do. She'd growl at them when they'd start crying at first. Now she's just like a first time mom and gets really antsy when they cry. She'll settle down I think.

No but I'll take some tomorrow. I was going to wait till the week mark. They don't look a lot different, just a little bigger but they do have their color points coming in!
