Well, forgetting about all the drama in our lives for a minute
I wanted to let you all know that Bella and Turtle are getting along very well. They could teach some of us a lesson in how to "play well with others.":lol3
There have been a couple of times when Bella had to "remind" Turtle who the boss was in the house, but Turtle just goes with the flow. No hurt feelings--let's play!!!
But Turtle is wearing me out!!! Bella can curl up on the couch and fall asleep in seconds, that's her escape, BUT not me!!! I have to follow Turtle around to see what new adventure she's trying to get herself in to next...She's finding new hiding places daily...this is one of the reasons I prefer adult cats at my age
Oh, and let's talk about poo. Ok? I thought I had a horse using the litter box last week! How can anything THAT big come out of something so petite? My Lord!!!!
On the matter of Turtle's other home life--the room mate is moving out NEXT weekend
My friend will be there to make sure nothing is destroyed or stolen. So this will be my last week with Turtle for a while.
But she misses her daddy and he misses her. So I won't mourn too long.
I just want to thank EVERY one for the kind words and wisdom and the understanding that only cat lovers can have for other cat lovers. The problem is getting resolved and my temper didn't put me in jail

I haven't had a chance to respond to any of your other posts as I was dealing with some medical issues of my own, but I wanted to let you know that I commend you for being willing to take Turtle in while your friend gets his situation at home with his roommate sorted out. It's very obvious that you love Bella, Turtle, and your friend. And, that is something that deserves to be honored...

As for Turtle being a handful -- such is life with a younger cat
! I had purposely adopted kitties that were, at the minimum, 9-10 months old as I didn't think I had it in me to work with a kitten. But, last November, I wound up bringing home a 7 week old kitten who was (and is!) a tiny terror. I am forever following him around, picking up after him, and ensuring that he is safe. So, I know it's a difficult job. But, the rewards I get back are tremendous and, from your posts, it sounds as though you are reaping those rewards presently while Turtle is in your care.

Thank God for people like you who are willing to take an often uncomfortable stance and take on a cat (or any animal, for that matter) who is in a potentially harmful situation. It sounds like you've made the world of difference in Turtle's life and, in turn, in your friend's life as well. Kudos to you (and to Bella
for being such a good sport about the whole situation)!
