People..they really irritate me lately

I run/started a group called the new york state lost and found pets on Facebook. I went and started a website to go with it. Anyways, I go and find all the ads on all CLs throughout NY State and put them in the group and on the site making it easier to find lost/found pets. Well I get emails to post found pets or lost ones. I got an email from someone they found a dog-gave me the information and i put it on my site-2 days later they email back saying they gave the dog away THEY GAVE IT AWAY ..it was NOT theirs to give away! It makes me so angry. NOw there is an ad ON Syracuse CL..someone found a beautiful long haired cat and they are giving her away..again its NOT theirs to give away! Makes me really sad and angry. SO i posted on the group hoping someone near that person can take the cat and keep her until we can see if an owner turns up!

Grrrr, I get where you are coming from totally, some people!! I can't explain this behaviour, maybe someone is actually missing their beloved pet. Anyhows I could go on but well done for setting this up.xx

I also go to local shelters websites and if the animals are listed as found/strays/brought in by animal control i put them on the site/group. Most of them are up for adoption.

This is a WONDERFUL thing you are doing!! There will always be "idiots" out there to screw things up. Some people who find these animals don't realize that they ARE a part of somebody's family!!!! It's a frustrating thing to have to deal with people in order to help animals. I hope this situation gets worked out and you can continue this great work
