Watch her closely now. Baby Girl laid like that right before (I mean like 10 minutes before) she started pushing. Within 45 minutes she had the first kitten.

This is when she pushed her mucus plug out and then a bubble part way out and then she popped it (her water). Then she was pushing the first kitten out.

OH man I need to get back in there. She was sitting like that and then flopped onto her side when I came in. I keep wondering if I'm disturbing her. I fed her and she went straight to her food. I'll check her and then post here.

I stayed with her for about 15 minutes and she tries to sleep but cannot. She moves and changes position a lot. She ended up on her back and she has a lot of gas off an on. Suddenly she got this weird look on her face and went and hid inside the top of her litter box. I took it off about a week ago and set it on a bathmat so she was in there when I left. I will check again in a few minutes. I'm trying to get dinner done and watch her at the same time.

Question: If she doesn't give birth by tomorrow morning, should I be taking her to the vet?

I don't think it's a HUGE deal if she's no contracting very hard. But if she hasn't had anything maybe call your vet and see if they think it's necessary to bring her in

I don't see contractions so she isn't having the huge ones. She's uncomfortable because she will sometimes squeeze up her stomach and then go a long time without doing that.

Definitely call the vet and see what they say if she hasn't delivered any kittens by morning. How is she doing? You said 10-12 hours would be 7-9, right? What time is it were you are?

It's 9 so it's been 12 hours since she had that spotting all over but not since she lost that huge amount of stuff that came out. But we all know Carly and she will probably not have kittens until the 24 hour mark just to freak me out.

Yes, she likes to take her time. Lol. From what I have read, they normally move into 2nd stage of labor (delivery) within a 12 hour period. I would think that she should be getting there soon.

Don't understand what she's trying to tell me.

I have been following this, and now it is lecture time!! CARLY!!! you quit scaring your 'mom' and get down to business and have those kittens. So, to paraphrase Cosby - push'em out, shove'em out!! WAAAAAAAAY OUT!!!

Seriously, though, I think she is probably worried and a little scared, so try to relax for her, sit with her, rub the belly, the head, whatever, just to get her to relax. When you tense up and worry, she is picking up on it and doing the same. Can you sit by her crate and be close to her?

Baby Girl had to have me right there the entire time. Maybe she is having a hard time relaxing without you there.

I can stay with her all night. She does seem to relax and get more into focusing when I'm here. She is nesting like crazy now. She's in her tiny cat carrier.
