Stomatitis

Our boy Walli had most of his teeth removed back in February. He was doing great post-surgery and suddenly the infection relapsed and is wreaking havoc on his remaining front teeth including the canines. The oral specialist we are seeing is recommending to take out the remaining teeth and cauterize the gums throughout his mouth.

Anybody have any experience with this and their cats?

Also, he's on Buprenex twice a day till surgery on June 3rd. Seems like a long time on pain meds. Any input?
