Hi to all..

I thought that my little gypsy was close to giving birth as all the strange behaviour she was displying pointed to this, trying to find small spaces to get into, having strange meows at random times cleaning lady bits all the time, felt the babys move for the first time just over a week ago etc...

She was laying on the stairs last night sleeping and all of a sudden she started meowing, i went out to see her and she was breathing pretty heavy and purring for a couple of minutes then it went back to normal, she got up cleaned her "bits" stood up and rubbed herself up me sat down then got up and lay down again which i found odd!!

had her at the vet yesterday and he said that he can definatly feel 3 but possibly 4 or 5.. he said that his best estimate was that she was about 6 weeks, due to the size of the 3 kittens, the weight of her, (she wasnt that heavy or big for a 1 year old) and the general size of her..

I still believe that she is further on than that..has anyone else been told by a vet that there cat was so many weeks but gave birth before there time according to a vet??

hope someone can help...thanks steph

she slept in her nesting box all night, woke up this morning and had a really good clean, also there was a fair bit of sick in my bottom hall 2 days ago

In my experience yes! I took a cat in on the 26 and still not delivered as was a cat I had taken to a different vet/practice in 05. Cats are alot harder to place in age with kittens from what I have seen. I am waiting for the one now-Gabby and my theory is as long as no signs of pain or distress leave it alone. Acting semi normal(come on those aliens(affectionatley
) kicking like that can't make anyone in a good mood. Last cat I had stopped eating for 48 hours gave birth and ate everything up. Good luck
