My Oreo needs surgery and it is risky

My Oreo has been losing weight and the vet did a ultrasound and did not see anything wrong.
The blood tests came back today and her liver numbers are bad.
Her wbc is very high also.
She said there is a infection inside her and it has to be cut out.
It is very risky because she has fcks and her lungs are not shaped right.
Her heart is also tilted.

I am scared.

This is a frightening time for you. How old is Oreo? do you have a lot of trust in your vet? Have other options been discussed? I think I might want a second opinion before I would jump into surgery for a kitty with so many other issues.

What is fcks?.

FCKS is Flat Chested Kitten Syndrome.
I do trust my vet.
She altered 3 of my cats including Wrinkles my sphynx.
Oreo is young.
She is 2.9 years old.
She is also letting me do a payment plan.

Many vibes from Boston for Oreo. I suggest having another talk with your vet when you bring her in — just find out what you need to know so you feel more reassured that you are doing what's necessary for her. I'm hoping that might help you get through a very difficult day.

I really hope she'll be all right and on the mend soon! Hang in there!

Please keep us posted on Oreo. When is the surgery scheduled for?

Questions to ask your vet, to help ease your mind: Has your vet done this surgery before? What anesthetic will be used? Will she need pain medicine after? Will she be able to come home the same day? What kind of stitches will be used? Will she need to be on antibiotics? Those are questions I would be asking.

Poor girly!!!! I hate it when they are sick. We all do.

Where was the infection? Were her liver levels REALLY bad or? She doesn't have a liver problem right?

Did the vet say what caused it?

Sorry for all the questions, just curious because of Bear's issues.

I am so glad that she went through the surgery ok. I know you are still a worried mommy though.

All her fur was falling ou tand she lost alot of weight.
The infection should be gone now.

Where was the infection? Your kitties sure keep you on your toes, lol. I hope she heals up soon, having sick cats is no fun.

He is about the same, I let him chase the laser light tonight and he loved that. I made sure that he didn't over do it though. Apparently the puppy loves the laser light too, I had to put her in another room so Bear could play with it lol. Then I took the pup outside so she could play with the laser light too.
