Would you be willing to boycott BP??

I can't because here they market it as "ARCO" which gives me lousy gas mileage & tacks on extra for using my debit card, so I already don't buy their product
I do a LOT of driving, often in rental cars, so I routinely amuse myself by comparing gas mileage and brands. Shell and ARCO perform the lousiest. Also, I track DH's fuel expenditures and his results are the same - Mobil, Chevron, and Union 76 perform the best.....so much for my participating in a boycott
..... but I can still write my senators and congressmen and ask why the government can't look into criminal activity To think, someone can and does go to jail for selling marijuana, yet the BP execs still make unbelievable salaries and their company enjoys massive profits, while those poor LA shrimpers have lost their ability to provide for their families
and they can get employment in the cleanup only if they sign waivers promising not to sue for the resulting damages to their health...evil, just evil

Already have.

Not really - but we have an "account" at Super America and stick to that. If we need to pay cash we go with the one with the lowest price in the area we are in.

The only BP stations near us are a bit out of the way, so we tend to frequent Marathon instead.

I buy Costco gas exclusively. If it's not available where I am, I buy the cheapest!

Why would I want to do that.

Yep, easily. I haven't used Exxon/Mobil since the Valdez and BP is now in that category.

Yeah, no problem!

I will never buy BP gasoline again

If a person owns mutual funds I think it'd be tough to boycott companies because mutual funds invest in tons of different companies and their tentacles are far-reaching. For the average American, it's tough to keep track. Back when I had several mutual funds there was no simple way to "truly" boycott anyone. I don't remember boycotting anyone. My mom boycotted a drink company back in the 1980s because she didn't like their tv ads. And my brother tried to drink Coke instead of Pepsi because he thought Pepsi was constantly attacking Coke (and they kinda were lol)

I pretty much already don't get my gas there anyway. But, yeah I would if I did shop there.

There are 3 BPs near my house however because I use my grocery store club card to rack up gas points I normally end up going to the grocery store for a fill up because I get money off per gallon. I guess I already boycott BP due to the high gas prices and needed to watch gas spending anyways. I noticed too yesterday after driving by that their gas stations prices are about 10 cents higher than the other stations when normally they were almost 5 cents cheaper.

Same here. I hope we never run out of gas stations to boycott!
