What a weekend I am having, I need advice! Saturday (my cats only get sick on the weekend) my youngest cat, Mini, 1.5 yrs. old, was vomiting all day. He couldn't even keep water down, so I took him to the medvet, which is our Emergency Vet here. Now poor Mini hasn't been to the vet since he had all his baby shots. The only thing I subject him to is clipping his claws while he is sleeping, so I knew this was not going to go well. But the staff was so nice, and he had x-rays, and sub-q fluids, anti-vomiting meds, and painkiller. The doc thought she saw maybe something that was passing into his intestines, she wasn't sure, but we decided to see how he was and if he was still sick we would see the vet for bloodwork. So we came home. They gave me a ton of pain meds for him, but I gave them to him just once yesterday. This morning he was great, in fact I caught him with his head in the treat jar trying to feed himself. He slept all day, but woke up around 4:00, and walked all over the house crying and crying. I thought he was going to vomit, but he didnt, he even ate a little food and went right back to walking around crying. Its the kind of crying a kitten makes looking for mom. So I came up to the bedroom with him and he settled next to me in his little heated bed. he is sleeping again. What do you all think? Could he be confused still from the vets? Or is he still sick?
And then to make the weekend complete, Kitto, my other little man, busted out a basement screen during the night! I was so worried, searched the entire house, went outside 3 times, calling for him, and on the third time I heard him calling, he meowed very softly, he was hunkered down behind a bush by the back of the house, terrified. I picked him up and he was so happy. He is indoor only, but there are so many cats wandering thru our yard he gets upset. But thats a whole other thread!

I would take him to the vet for x-rays to be sure there's not something in his intestines. It could be the crying indicates something is still not quite right.
