It's been quite some time since I got new collars for my kitties. When I moved recently, I had new tags made up for them in addition to updating their microchip information. I'm always careful about making sure all of my beloved furbabies are always wearing proper ID at all times...you just never know! When I put the new tags on their collars, I noticed how horribly worn out they had become. It was definitely time to invest in some new ones! Tonight when I was at the petstore, I got all 3 furbabies new collars! Aren't they cute?? The clasp on them says, "meow"

Velvet's is the white/black one (second down from the top) (http://www.petsmart.com/product/inde...ductId=3951249
If you look on the left side column underneath those collars and scroll over the other 4, Isabella's is the second from the top (brown with all sorts of multi-colored flowers)

Kojak's is blue stripped (the one at the bottom)

I definitely love their new collars and the fact that they finally have those ratty old ones off!
What I loved even more was that I had a gift card, so they were "free"!
I was also pleased at how adjustable they are since Velvet is exceptionally tiny (she's 14yrs old and in very bad health- keeps loosing weight, so it's hard to find a non-kitten collar that adjusts enough to fit her). Kojak & Isabella on the other hand, are quite are large boned; so I have to find collars large enough for them. These cute collars adjust to fit all 3!

For those of you looking to buy your furbabies a new collar, I'd definitely recommend these! (Also, they are safety-collars, so they should unhook incase the kitty should become stuck on anything- that is another reason mine are microchipped, for added security)

Oh, they are gorgeous, I picked the black and white one first, its beautiful. I wonder if they do them over here?? I am moving in 3 weeks and I would love to get them some as a precaution and these are great as they are safety collars. Great choice for your kitties. xx

Is it just me or does anyone else think that most cat collars are made too wide?

My two babies have short hair, and no matter what material the collars are made out of, they always seem to eventually leave a very obvious 'indent' on the cat's fur. Not that my two manage to keep collars on for more than a few weeks, before they end up coming home 'naked'!

But I've found these ones which I love,

They're so thin that I barely notice them on the cat's silhouette and they still manage to hold a tag.
