This question pertains to home safety.

Do you have smoke and carbon monoxide alarms in your home and how many do you have.

There are 3 smoke alarms and 2 carbon monoxide alarms in my two bedroom mobile home. They were here when I moved in, donâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji]t think I wouldâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji]ve put that many up so how many do you have.

Smoke detectors in utility room, family room and among the bedrooms upstairs. At least one CO detector, I'm not sure where DH put it.

I have 2 of each. One smoke and one CO2 detector in the laundry room in the basement, and one smoke and one CO2 detector in the hallway outside of my bedroom. I change the batteries in each on my birthday, and at Christmas....approximately every six months (just to be safe.)

Two smoke detectors. No CO2 detectors.

But the apartment does have a sprinkler system. There is one in every room and every closet. If they ever went off at the same time I would probably be washed away in the flood.

3 smoke detectors (1 in basement, 1 in kitchen, 1 in upstairs hallway) and 1 carbon monoxide detector in the upstairs hallway. Around here, it's the law to have both, but we had them years before that went into effect.

3 combo (smoke and carbon monoxide) wired in.... ( building code here, must be on each floor and connected together so if one goes off, all go off). + smoke alarm in my snake room, + carbon monoxide detector in the garage.

Absolutely! I have a smoke detector and a combination smoke/carbon monoxide detector in my apartment (just a small one bedroom).

Fighting for ferals in NW NJ!
2 smoke detectors, 2 C02 detectors and FOUR fire extinguishers (like to make sure at least one would always be handy!) And we're in a 38' RV.
The RV came with one smoke detector, one fire extinguisher, and one C02 detector. We're very conscientious about that kind of stuff.

We have 5 smoke/carbon monoxide detectors in the house. They're actually wired into the house so they don't run off a battery, but do have battery backup.

I just live in a one bedroom apartment too so the one smoke detector is enough. They come around here and make sure the smoke detectors work (either once a year or twice a year I can't remember).

As a volunteer captain for my local Red Cross Chapter's Disaster Team, I have been called to the scene of about 12 house fires in the last year and a half. I cannot stress enough how important it is to have smoke detectors in your residence - whether you own or rent. Just the very few extra minutes that early warning provides can make a significant difference in the outcome of the fire. Also, if you do rent, please purchase renter's insurance. Your landlord's policy only covers the structure - NOT your belongings. If you think insurance is too expensive, sit down and list how much it would cost to replace everything you own. It costs pennies in comparison.
