I don't think you'd want to spray water at electrical devices anyways. That would be asking for even more trouble.

You can get something called Bitter Apple spray to spray on cords and/or you can cover them. You'd have to go by your local hardware store to see what you can find to cover you cords with - look in the plumbing section.

Go wireless where you can, such as with your keyboard and mouse. Charge your phone in a room that the cat is shut out of.

Toss down a cardboard box, straws, or look for some cat chew toys to help give her something safe to chew up. Just remember to take the straws or toys away before she can chew off tiny bits and swallow them.

My best friend is corrugated cord covers. Maggie has chewed through cords her entire life. Bitter apple, Tabasco and Ropel didn't work for her, and she's even tripped the circuit breakers in the house twice. For her safety, and my own peace of mind, I've resorted to the cord covers. Not exactly a decorating fashion statement, but certainly functional!

This cord has since been replaced, but it shows the cord cover also.

I purchased most of mine from this site:

Recently I've also found it at Walmart, in the home improvement isle: It's made by GE and it's called "CableNeat" 6 foot length, 1/2 inch diameter, black or white for $7.96. I swear by this stuff!

You are right to be concerned, but disciplining with a spray bottle is not the answer, the cords need to be covered.

I was going to recommend cord covers too. Something as simple as those foam pipe insulators (hardware stores) to PVC piping, to the things recommended above.

I wouldn't go with anything foam...too chewable. PVC would be perfect. That stuff's too hard for a cat's teeth to bite through. I'd just be concerned--does it go all the way over to where the cord connects with the socket? Otherwise, it might direct a cat to that area to chew if the rest of the cord is put off limits and that's a high danger area.
