In their enthusiasm for looking out the windows, my two dear fur kids tend to break mini-blinds. So I'm looking for alternatives since the broken blinds allow the neighbors a direct view of our toilet.
I'm considering cellular shades that are top down / bottom up, cordless. Does anyone have cellular shades (of any kind)? If so, have your cats broken them or ignored them?
Extra points for your opinion if your cat has broken miniblinds in the past!
I hate to spend the money and have the blinds get shredded. But from the little I could tell from Googling, my sense is that most cats are OK with them. My cats are not particularly destructive -- they're actually relatively well-behaved. They do fine with rollershades because they can get behind them, to the window, without damaging the shade. But I'd prefer an option that would let more light through.
